Where everybody knows your name...

Christmas with our family is always filled with lots of hugs. We do love to hug.

Christmas with our family is filled with classy people.

And folks who want to know what's happening.

Folks who are happy.

Stylish.

Absolutely ADORABLE folks.

See what I mean? More ADORABLE folks. And darn cute dogs.

Silly folk are everywhere at our family gatherings.

See what I mean?

Laid back people are a part of our celebration.

And of course we love to have happy families. That's why Christmas with our family is wonderful. Ho, ho, ho!!!

Helping Hands

Yesterday my work group went to the RMH to wrap gifts and help put away food donations. We first ate our lunch in the library. It's a beautiful room and a perfect place to eat lunch.

Then Lindsay gave us a tour of the House before we begin.

I've only been in a couple of rooms, so it was nice for me to see what some of the others look like.

This room has a western theme. Loved how cozy it is.

The paintings on the wall are light and cheerful.

Go Ducks! I smell roses!

I loved the Christmas tree in the 'log room'. Very natural, and fits into the theme very well.

We then got to work wrapping.

And putting away donations in the storage room.

Hi Jenn!

Everyone did such a nice job on wrapping (not one of my better skills, I must say.....).

Before we left we took some pictures in front of the tree in the lobby, and Kathy made a new friend.

What a great group of folks I get to work with. And I mean it: we all support each other and enjoy each other's company. It doesn't get much better than that. I wish more folks had the working environment I have: the world would be a better place if that was the case.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Fun times with gingerbread and friends.

Today has been a fun day. I joined my friends at work for the gingerbread house decorating event. Fun times my friends!

Santa almost always means good times are on their way!

Meeting up with Rachel and Charlie usually indicates I'm about to have fun.

And Kathy of course! Fun times in store!

Luke shows off part of what is about to decorate this house.

Caleb prepares for decorating. I helped Caleb and Luke: my job was to pipe frosting onto the house and their jobs were to put as much candy on that house as possible. We all did a great job!

Jennifer works on one of the trees. Don't ask what happened to the tree. What happens to a tree at a gingerbread house decorating party stays at the gingerbread decorating party.

Amanda works away. I was so glad to get to hang with all these folks. So much good times to be had.

Luke made it over to talk to Santa (he wanted one of those candy canes, and if it took talking to the big guy, he would talk to him).

Luke is rather 'covered' up here. Bummer.

We were scheduled for earthquake drills, they were postponed, so today an earthquake drill happened during the party.

Everyone in the cafeteria ducked and covered. Cozy, eh?

"Can we come out YET?"

The house is done. Not sure what the expression on Luke's face is meant to indicate.

Caleb was more than happy to present the results of all his hard work.

Mom and son. Great picture. Both very cute.

Cate poses in front of the snowmen.

Luke got a kick out of this!

The kids had so much fun, and do did I. Merry Christmas everyone!

Blazers Rock!

The Trailblazer organization spruced up their room at the RMH, and yesterday some of them came out to dedicate it. Lots of news crews and such going on. Amazing. And Blaze was there. Coolness!

This is the door to the room. And this picture of Greg Oden on the door is LIFE SIZED. Nuff said.

The Blazers were so good with the kids, decorating cookies with them.

Hey Mom and Dad: does this adorable young lady look familiar to you? She says 'hello'.

Giraffes, kitties, and a big old dog with a volleyball.

Been working on the decorations. At the RMH a very nice lady painted some pictures and brought them to the House for folks to take. I was told to take one and while looking through them I found one I really liked. A giraffe in a carousel. I loved the look and the colors and the fact it was a giraffe. And look how perfect it is in my hallway.

It's the first thing I see when I come out of my bedroom. It makes me happy and isn't that what art is all about?

I came home the other day from Xmas shopping, dropped my coat next to the computer to look something up, and when I turned around I found a certain cat we all know relaxing on my coat. Gads. That leg of hers cracks me up: she had adapted very well to it.

Mark bought me a beautiful poinsettia: isn't it amazing?

Mark and the dog have been taking it easy all weekend. Deacon LOVES hanging out with Mark.

He's hoping that Mark will take him outside and play. With how cold it is, I think the phrase for this happening is 'no way baby!'.
