Happy Birthday Mark.
This is where the Mariner Moose hangs out. We must have just missed him.
I've said it before: are we cute or what???
Quite a crowd at the game.
The 'birthday boy' and Doug at the game.
Mary Jo and Doug chilling on the ferry.
Waiting for the ferry to Seattle from Bremerton, Randy and Mary Jo are standing in front of the shipyard offices where Randy works...he looks so happy to be so close to work, doesn't he?
Saturday was Mark's birthday. So Mark, his sister Mary Jo, her husband Randy, their daughter (and our adorable niece!) Jessica, our adorable son Doug, and I went to a Mariners Game. It was a blast. I bought the birthday package for Mark: he got a travel bag, hat, ball, gift certificate, and his name up on the scoreboard. He got a real kick out of it.
The game was fun. Mary Jo got us great seats, down a bit from first base, in the 11th row. Amazing. There were a couple of Mariner home runs, Ichiro was there (and a fan ran on the field and gave him a hug...it was hilarious!), and the crowd became pumped up when JJ, the relief pitcher, came up to the mound. I've never experienced anything like that, even in football. And we won! How can you beat that?

Now for the Beavers.....
Mark on the field on a typical Oregon day!
Go Beavers!!!!
Equal time for the Beavers. Mark went to a clinic there and then took me along for one of the breakfasts, and a chance to watch some indoor practice. We had a good time. I enjoy watching football practice and seeing the players not only work, but the chance to see a bit of their personality. You get to see a glimpse of the real person during practice, perhaps a bit of silliness, or a show of determination.

Hanging out with Uncle Matt and Aunt Sandra
Strawberry shortcake: oh yes!
Matt walking Sugar Bear: too cute for her own good!
Sandra hanging round the pool.
View outside Jessica's 'room'.
We had a great time with Matt and Sandra. They treated us so well, and our visit with them was one of the highlights of the trip. Mark, Matt, Steven, and Doug went to Old Town Sacramento and looked around and ate themselves some seafood (Jessica was upset she missed it, but Sandra and I were just fine with missing out!). We hung around the pool talking and swimming, played with Sugar Bear, and all in all just enjoyed being with family. We have an amazing family!

We had a great time at Disneyland! Steven and Doug got along great, Jessica was a doll, and Mark even behaved himself. We walked constantly, and pretty much did everything we planned. I mainly wanted to ride Dumbo and my wish was granted! Every other time I've gone to Disneyland that ride hasn't been available: this time was my lucky charm. Steven is a roller coaster junkie and I think he had his fill!
Our time with Matt and Sandra was wonderful: they spoiled us rotten. How great is that? We have a wonderful family and I'm glad the kids got to spend some time with their aunt and uncle. They don't get to see them very often, so time spent together is precious.

Here goes nothing!!!
Okay, I enjoy Jen and Kathy's blogs so much I decided to give it a go myself! So let's see what I can come up with: I don't got me no cute lil kids to show off, just a couple of wild and crazy teenage boys, and an adorable 26 year old daughter (the husband can take care of himself!), so we'll see what we see.
